Dreamhost uses a custom cPanel and unlike other hosting (Hostgator and Bluehost), they don’t have standard layout for cPanel. This may confuse many users who are use to default cPanel look. Anyways, by using custom cPanel, dreamhost have achieved another level of branding.
In this quick tutorial, I will show you how you can change your FTP password on Dreamhost Webhosting.
Login to Dreamhost panel by going to panel.dreamhost.com and click on manage users at top.
Click on edit infront of username whose password you would like to change.
On the next page you can specify a password of your choice or you can ask machine to pick a random password for your user account.
Click on Save changes and it may take around 10 minutes for your new password to take effect. Now use FileZilla or any other free FTP programs to login to your Dreamhost account via FTP.
