I was on Knownhost managed Webhosting for almost an year and after that I made a shift to unmanaged hosting with Linode. For people who are not good with Linux and networking command, I would suggest stick to managed webhosting. Get a cPanel or plesk and play with everything.

Can you pls tell for VPS, which is better option–Knownhost or Hostgator.

Atul I have used Knownhost and its good. Though I have not used Hostgator but heard some great review about their VPS too..
